(alphabetically by state)
The following list identifies locations with biomedical freezers for manual cold cap users, and locations with DigniCap or Paxman scalp cooling machines.
The DigniCap system, a machine based capping method cleared by the FDA, started rolling out to US clinics in 2016, and the Paxman Scalp Cooling system, also cleared by the FDA, started clinic placements in 2017.
For patients who do not have access to a location with the machines in place, please note the following.
MANUAL COLD CAPS CAN BE USED AT ANY LOCATION, ANYWHERE, WITH THE DRY ICE METHOD. This is still the method many patients use to save their hair. Some clinics have biomedical freezers available for patients to use - this is of benefit to both patients and infusion centers. It saves patients/helpers the cost and effort of acquiring and handling dry ice, keeps all caps uniformly cold, and minimizes the number of helpers needed by the patient. Of note, both freezer and dry ice methods work equally well.
